Pureology Precious Oil Hair Masque...

Hi guys! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & whatever you have planned for New Years Eve tonight I hope you all bring in 2013 with a bang.

So today's post is about this amazing hair masque from Pureology, just one of the amazing things I won in my ELLE goodie bag. This masque is specifically designed to fortify the hair cuticle to illuminate shine. It contains sunflower seed oil to soften the hair & coconut oil for vitality. It smells amazing and the thick, creamy consistency of the masque makes it really easy to apply to the hair. I apply it all over after shampooing and leave it in for around 3 minutes, I use it 2-3 times a week. My hair instantly feels smoother and isn't at all knotty when I brush it. I must admit it also gives my hair a great shine and feels really soft and subtle.

You can buy this hair masque for £23.08 from www.gorgeousshop.co.uk. It may sound expensive but I always think it is worth investing in some really good quality hair products, and this one is definitely worth the price tag! Even though I was lucky enough to win this I can assure you I will be buying it again.

Have a great New Year everyone, thanks for reading.

All Things Princess...

Hey guys! Recently myself and another blogger have been tweeting each other over the past few weeks and we decided to do a beauty tag on our blogs! We each asked 10 questions to one another so we can post the answers on our blogs. Clair is the fabulous owner of all things princess, her blog is really fun and great for those who love pink! Clair is also doing a beauty giveaway so makesure you check out her blog now!

So I sent Clair my 10 questions and here are her answers below!

1. What made you start writing a blog?
MAC Blush in Peaches
Ive been reading beauty blog's and watching youtube beauty videos for about 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed them. So last year i decided i wanted to start a blog of my own! but really didn't have the time. But at the start of this month i decided its now or never...i love everything makeup and beauty but sometimes i just love writing down my thoughts and ramblings, i look at it like a diary for myself that i share with the public ha ha .

2. If you could only use 3 makeup products for the rest of your life, what would they be?
1) I couldn't live without foundation, just makes my skin look even (i hate how i look without it)
2) MAC blush in peaches it always gives me that pop of colour I need
3) Mascara ....mascara gives eyes that instant awake look that I love.

3. What's your favourite makeup item currently in your makeup bag?
Urban Decay Naked Palette
Oooohhh this is a hard one because I love everything in their ha ha. I have to say its probably my Naked palette it's served me well over the last year , i can create so many eye looks with it.

 4. What's the most expensive item in your makeup bag?
I think this once again is my naked palette this cost me i believe £32 but worth every penny .

5. If you could give anyone a makeover, who would it be?
I would love to give my mum a makeover ......she don't own any makeup and does the same things to her hair day in day out, so i think i would love to create a whole new look and spoil her.

6. Do you have any beauty items on your Christmas list this year?
I don't, but have asked for money which will probably go on something to do with beauty.

7. When your in a hurry, what makeup item do you always go for first?
Foundation, if i have my foundation on i conquer anything haha

8. What other beauty blogs do you recommend others should read?
Sprinkle of glitter
Stephs world of makeup
fleurdeforce
zoella
buttons blog
and yours... beauty spot
I've really enjoyed reading all these

9. What's the most enjoyable thing about writing your blog?
I feel like this is my own little "me" space , so is lovely to come write about things that make me happy ....but what I really enjoy  is having nice comments and twitter messages regarding my blog, makes me very Happy .

10. Do you have any beauty tips/tricks? If so what's your best one?
Vaseline Lip Therapy
I think everyone should look after their skin so always remember to remove make up and cleanse, tone, moisturise.
For great feeling lips apply a layer of Vaseline before bed and in the morning you will have a perfect pout.
Seal cheaper eyeliner in with black (or desired colour) eyeshadow on a flat angled brush for long lasting eyeliner.
Eyebrows...don't over pluck!!to make sure you don't do it!! ,put the tweezers against your nose (down) anything on the nose side of the tweezers remove. Then other side slightly move the tweezers so they form a diagonal line to the edge of your eyebrow anything the ear side remove (hope I've made sense lol) this way it will make sure you don't remove more than you should.

Thanks to Clair for doing this & if you want to check out my answers to her questions then click here http://allthingsprincess84.blogspot.co.uk/

Halloween Rag Doll Makeup...

Hi guys! So it was Halloween last week & one of my friends was having a Halloween party. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a costume so I thought an effective makeup look would work just as well. A friend suggested we dress up as rag dolls (pretty easy to get a costume together) & that I would do the makeup. I searched the net for inspiration and thought some of the looks would be easy enough to recreate. So I bought a few Halloween makeup palettes, had a play around and ended up looking like this...

I started off with mixing my foundation with a white face cream that I bought from Clinton's just to make my face look more porcelain like. I then used an eyeshadow palette by Sleek and sweeped bright pink eyeshadow all across my lid right up to the brow brown. I blended in darker shades of pink and red to add more definition. I then lined the lash line with a black gel eye liner and added on false lashes.

To create the "wide eye" doll look, I extended my lower water line using the same white face cream and a small brush. I then set it with white eyeshadow and then lined that with the gel eye liner. I then popped on false lashes.

I added a bright pink cream blush to the cheeks and drew on the lips using a lip liner brush and MAC Rebel lipstick. To draw on the stitches from the corners of the mouth I used the same black gel liner and a fine liner brush.

To make it look extra scary I used fake blood just below the tear duct on one eye to make it look like I was crying blood!

Hope you like the look and had a great Halloween!

illamasqua...

Hello! So recently I found out about this great make up brand, illamasqua. I am a great fan of watching make up tutorials on YouTube and noticed that a few of the guru's were using these amazing products.

After checking out the website www.illamasqua.com/ I was so excited to buy something but literally couldn't decide on what to get! Before searching the site I really wanted to get my hands on a lovely pink, cream blush. I am really loving the cream blushers at the minute, they blend better into the skin than a powder and I love the dewy glow it gives to your cheeks. So anyway, while on the site I decided to take a look at illamasquas collection of blushers and instantly fell in love with the colour 'Promise'. It's a doll like pinky colour that really gives cheeks an instant pick me up. It's so soft to touch and easy to blend. What I really like about the colour is that it is great for summer but as it's not too bright it would look lovely in the colder months as well. The staying powder is pretty great too!

So the other product I bought is this gorgeous gleam highlighter in the colour 'Aurora'. This is the first cream highlighter I have used as I normally tend to grab my Dior Amber Diamond which is a powder. Like the blush, it is so easy to blend on to the skin and as it is a cream it tends to have less shimmer than a powder so really gives more of a healthy glow rather than a sparkle, so great to use during the day! I love blending this onto my cheek bones and on the arch of the brow bone.

Have you got any illamasqua make up products? What do you recommend I try out next?

Thanks for reading guys.

Sleek Palettes...

Sleek Makeup is a great, affordable drug store brand. They have a great range of products from blushers, foundations, lip glosses & these fabulous eye shadow pallettes.

The Sleek I Divine pallettes consists of 12 shades of high quality, super pigmented shadows. These mineral based shadows are smooth in texture and blend really easily to create beautiful, professional looks.

If your a big fan of Katy Perry or Nicki Minaj make-up looks then I would recommend the Ultra Bright pallette. These shadows will easliy help recreate any of their looks.

If you prefer the dark, smokey eye look often seen on Cheryl Cole or Kristen Stewart then try out the Ultra Dark pallette. These colours blend well together and will help give you a professional finished look.

Sleek is available at Superdrug and these pallettes are at an affordable price of just £7.99

Balmi...

I am loving these new lip balms from Balmi. The packaging is so cute and it also comes with a little clip so you can attach it to your keys! They come in a range of different flavours from Mint, Strawberry, Coconut, Raspberry & Blackcurrant.

The balms contain Vitamin E, soothing Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil to help leave your lips moisturised, soft and super smooth. They also provide SPF 15, so protecting your lips from any harmful rays.

The spherical mould makes it really easy to apply and saves you from getting the product all over your fingers and contaminating you Lip Balm pot or tin.

They are £4.99 each and are available from Boots. You can also check out other stockists on their website http://www.balmi.co.uk/

Birthday Treats/ July Favourites...

Hi guys, so it was my birthday on the 18th July and I got some really great presents, most of which were beauty products! So I thought I would combine them with some of my favourites from July!

Jo Malone - This is my first fragrance from Jo Malone and I absolutely love it. I got Pomegranate Noir and it smells so fruity but quite musky as well. I really like heavy scents and with a touch of pomegranate this is really nice for summer and winter.

Kerastase - I am starting to become a big fan of Kerastase. This serum is from the Resistance range and is built to protect and seal split ends. One pump a day through the ends makes hair feel softer and stronger. If you have long hair this is a must to protect the length.

Revlon (pink tube) - If you have heard of the Clinique Chubby Sticks but thought they were a bit pricey then these balms from Revlon are just as good but at half the price. They come in a vast range of colours and really soften the lip.

Rimmel - Wake Me Up concealer. I have heard that the foundation is supposed to be amazing but I thought I would give the concealer a go first. I really like the packaging and the wand is a really easy way to apply. It gives great coverage that doesn't leave a cakey feeling on the skin.

Embryolisse - Lait Creme Concentrate. This is my third tube of this moisturiser and I will be buying a lot more of it in the future. I have seen a massive improvement in my skin since using this. It sinks into the skin straight away and leaves a lovely glow.

Dior Amber Diamond - This powder highlight is probably one of the most expensive makeup products I have bought (well is it Dior) but it has been worth it. It has a gorgeous shimmer and really highlights the cheekbones beautifully.

Bourjois - Smokey Eyes - Three great eye shadows to create the perfect smokey eye. The colours are really pigmented and are easy to blend together.

June Favourites...

Hi guys! So I haven't blogged in ages so I thought I would do a 6 in 1 review on some of my favourite products in June.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation - This is my all time favourite foundation. It smells really fresh and feels light on the skin. It gives great coverage and leaves a subtle glow.

Bourjois Volumizer Mascara - I have blogged about this product before but I have to mention it again. It has two brushes, one to separate and lengthen the lashes and a second that really adds volume. If your off on holiday this is a great one to bring with you.

Bourjois Lipstick in Rose Cachemire - This colour is a really pale pink but bright enough so you don't look too washed out. It smells really good too.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - I've been using this powder for years now and I would never use anything else. It's really cheap, has good coverage and has a lasting finish.

Rimmel Blush in Santa Rose - I love Rimmel products and they have a great range of blushers. I like the colour Santa Rose which is a really light, peachy pink tone.

Lash Studio Lashes - I tend to go through false eye lashes like there's no tomorrow, so these ones from Lash Studio are perfect for me. They are really cheap and are so easy to put on. I would recommend these if you are new to false lashes and want to practise some different looks.

Magnetic Nail Paints...

Hi everyone! I hope you have all enjoyed the Queen's Jubilee. How nice is it to have an extra long bank holiday!

So today's post is about the Magnetic Nail Paints by Barry M. These are a new nail product out on the market and Barry M is just one out of many brands that do these unique polishes. I love Barry M. All the products are cheap, they have an excellent range of colours to choose from and are always first in leading with new trends.

There are four magnetic paints to choose from, each having their own unique magnet. I went for the Blue one as the magnet design slightly looks like the Union Jack flag, perfect for this weekend!

Apply a base coat and once dry work with one nail at a time by applying a second coat. While the nail is still wet, immediately hover the magnet over the nail using the ridge as a guide. Hover the magnet for around 10 seconds and watch the design appear.

These nail paints are available from Super Drug at a retail price of £4.99 each. Choose from a range of four colours, Violet, Burgundy, Dark Silver & Blue.

Top Makeup Remover/Cleanser...

Hi guys! I wanted to share with you all my favourite makeup remover. Bioderma H20 Crealine Solution is specially formulated for sensitive, dry skin. The solution gently cleanses the face and eyes and removes all traces of makeup, including water proof mascara.

What I love about this product is that it is basically just like water. It is so gentle on the skin and with active ingredients prevents the feeling of any irritation. It is quick to use, just soak a cotton pad and sweep across the face and neck. It needs no rinsing just gently pat the skin dry with a clean cotton towel.

If you have dry skin like me I would recommend the Crealine TS H20 solution. This is a french product, TS standing for "Tres seches"  - very dry skin.

For those of you who have oily skin then try H20 Sebium Solution, perfect for combination or oily skin.
