Red Carpet Manicure...

Red Carpet Manicure is a fantastic new system that lets you do your own gel manicure in the comfort of your own home. I had never had a gel manicure on my nails before, if I fancied glamming myself up I would sometimes get acrylic tips, which in turn did no favours for my nails. They would be weak, brittle and split every other day!

So when I found out about the Gel Polish Pro Kit I begged my sister to add it to her Christmas list (mine was apparently already too long!) Since not having gels done before I was excited to see if this would be better for my nails than the acrylics and of course they definitely are!

The Gel Polish Pro Kit contains the following:

• Professional LED light (with timer function)
• Purify pre & post application cleanser
• Prep max adhesion sanitizer
• Structure base coat gel
• Brilliance seal & shine top coat gel
• Erase gel nail polish remover
• Revitalize nourishing cuticle oil
• LED gel polish in Red Carpet Reddy

The manicure itself is actually really easy to do & fun. Prep the nail to begin with by shaping & buffing. Then apply a coat of the Prep max adhesion sanitiser, this makes sure that the nail is completely clean & ready for application.

Red Carpet Manicure recommends applying one coat of the structure base coat, two coats of the nail colour & one coat of the brilliance seal & shine top coat to the four fingers of each hand followed by the thumbs. I found it really easy to apply all of the coats & curing under the LED light for 30-45 seconds between each one. I ended up with ten perfectly manicured nails in around 45 minutes.

The results? Shiny, glossy, fantastic, amazing, beautiful nails! I have to admit my nails have never looked better, I am completely in love with this kit! My nails are strong, growing really well without chipping and the gels themselves last at least 10 days. I find as my nails are becoming stronger the longer the gels last, I had my last set on for over two weeks!

The kit also comes with the Erase gel nail polish remover so the gels are easy to take off without damaging your nails underneath. Soak a cotton pad with the remover and wrap around the nail holding it together with tin foil. Leave for around 15-20 minutes and the gels will simply slide off.

I would recommend this kit to anyone & everyone, even to my neighbours cat! The Pro Kit is available from the Red Carpet Manicure website www.redcarpetmanicure.co.uk for a cool price of £89.95, I think this is really reasonable as a salon would probably charge around £35 for gel manicure here in the UK. The individual nail colours are also available from the website and are £12.95 each. So to all the lacquer lovers out there you really need to get your hands on this kit! If you want professional looking nails but want to be able to do it while sitting on your sofa then this is definitely for you.

Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss...

I am loving these lipglosses from Revlon, they come in a range of really pretty colours & give your lips a lovely shine. They aren't at all sticky so are comfortable to wear & I find that they moisturise my lips as well. The sponge applicator makes it easy to apply & are long lasting These two colours that I have are quite sheer so perfect to wear on top of a lipstick or on their own. Some of the other colours have a great colour pay off so if your looking for something with more colour then try Hot Pink, Sizzle or Strawberry. The two colours I have are Bellini & Ice Pink.  I have been told that the Ice Pink gloss is very similar to one of the Chanel lipglosses in 01 Surprise!

Jo Malone Wild Fig & Cassis Cologne...

I have recently become a big fan of Jo Malone fragrances & after receiving the Pomegranate Noir fragrance for my birthday I wanted to extend my collection.

After going to a Jo Malone store in London I fell in love with the Wild Fig & Cassis cologne. I am a fan of woody fragrances so I was instantly attracted to the smell of pine & cedarwood. I also like the smell to be fresh & feminine so the balance of the figs & cassis is a perfect combination. The initial smell is fruity & light but then coupled with the cassis & cedarwood gives the scent a really rich & warm note. I think it makes for a perfect evening scent & people will definitely be admiring it.

Jo Malone describes the scent as "Breakfast in Tuscany. Plump, sun-warmed figs blend with juicy cassis and the purity of pine and bracing cedarwood. The warmth of the Mediterranean. An earthy and embracing scent."

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Moringa Extract...

Hey everyone! I am a huge fan of Kerastase as I have probably mentioned before so I thought I had to share my new favourite hair care product with you, the Kerastase Elixir Ultime.
This is an oil specifically designed for damaged hair, I wouldn't say my hair was damaged but my hairdresser recommended this one as my hair is long in length so the ends of my hair really need looking after, especially if I want to keep on growing it!

This oil contains moringa extract, known as the "Tree of Life", which evokes the hair to look it's best. It has a subtle woody fragrance with a burst of citrus fruits, the smell is really light & fresh.

There are many ways to apply this oil to your hair, use 2-3 pumps before washing your hair, leave in for at least 10 minutes, or if you really need a deep conditioning treatment then leave in overnight. You can also use it before you blow dry your hair or you can use it as a finishing touch after styling. I prefer to use it before I wash my hair as I find this makes my hair so soft & really gives my ends the nourishment it needs. If you have fine hair then I wouldn't recommend you use it after styling, as it's an oil it may make your hair look greasy!

I would totally recommend this oil if you have dull or lack lustre hair, this is a great pick me up to really condition your locks. It also makes your hair super smooth and easy to manage.

Kerastase never disappoint with their products, hence why I am a big fan & they always have something to suit all hair types. If your after a new product to add to your hair care routine then I would definitely recommend one of these oils, which ever one you choose you are guaranteed to have healthier, nourished hair!

Urban Decay Vice Palette...

Hi guys! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to 2013! So for Christmas I had asked Santa for a few make-up products that have been on my 'Wish List' for some time now! One of those was the Urban Decay Vice Palette, something that I have heard only good things about! It's been out for a little while now but I am so pleased I put it on my Christmas list.

The eye shadows are boxed in a really pretty case, it's solid & water resistant and with a touch of a button, opens up to reveal twenty shadows. It also has a really big mirror which is the perfect size to use while applying your makeup.

Urban Decay eye shadows have a tendency to shed so I would suggest to apply your shadow first before your foundation, otherwise things can get pretty messy. However the quality of the eye shadows is really good & they are really pigmented so show up beautifully on the lid. The range of colours is amazing, you can create so may different looks from a natural smokey eye to an eye catching colourful look.
